Just a mile or two away from our place in Morro Bay, Turri Road is a great blend of salt air and mixed use farmland. Cows can be seen grazing on the bare hills and flowers are grown in wide swaths of color. This road is rarely used, except for the local ranchers delivering hay, or high school kids wanting to test out their new wheels on the narrow strip of road as it snakes between the hills. The ocean can be seen off to the west from several turns. Hollister Peak keeps watch to the east. It's quite a delightful detour on the way home after a morning of running errands in San Luis Obispo.
